One for the boys

Hi all 

Got a little card to share,

Had to do quick card,

I had some Spider-Man toppers,

So I made this for a friends son

Who is a Spider-Man fan,

I added some spiders Webb to the backing card 

And used a craft card base

Turned out ok for a simple little card 

Thanks for taking the time to look 

And all the lovely comments

They mean a lot

Well hello there

I'm back,

sorry I've been missing for so long,

A few reasons really, 

Hubby had a couple of weeks off work,

So I spent time with him,as 

He works shifts and long hours

We really don't get much time,

Plus I'm still very preoccupied with health

Problems and up and coming test,

Not to mention the waiting,

Which is the hardest part.

Any way enough moaning.

I have been working on a few projects

Which I was unable to share till now

So today I'm sharing a wedding card,

This was for one of my best friends daughter

Who got married on Sunday 

Hope you like it.

The dress was brought a while ago,

It is actually a favour bag,

I made the flowers with tissue paper,

The sentiments are tattered lace dies cut in gold mirror card

And the backing is pearlised marrie Anne card 

Scored on my hoagie board

Afternoon all 

Hope your enjoying the sun shine at last,

I've been up to a bit of sewing again,

I'm still working on my cushions,

But got distracted again,

Easily done these days,

I went to get some more backing fabric,

And I came across a sewing bee kit,

At a price that was to good to miss,

And I thought it would teach me some 

More sewing techniques,

As I want to learn applique 

I'm feeling quite pleased with my self,

As I'm pant at cutting out,

And I had to cut it all out,

And I've never done appliqué 

I think he turned out well

So here Ollie owl the door stop

Champagne flutes

Hi all 

Well at last I've done a couple of projects to share,

I'll start with my folded book 

I've made this for a very old friends daughter,

She got engaged a couple of weeks ago on holiday,

I'm feeling very old,

Doesn't seem like long ago I got the call

To say her had arrived in the world,

She is a book lover so I was a bit

Apprehensive,it could of go either way,

On no you've destroyed a book,

Or she would love it,

I'm happy to say every one appeared to love it

I'm in the quick cards magazine

Just a quick post 

To share my joy of seeing one of my cards in a magazine,

Still not feeling great,and a little wiped out

From a hospital consultations,

That went on to last 51/2 hours in all,

And finishing off in a completely 

Different hospital.

Seeing my card in the mag really picked me up,

So thanks,little Lucy for pointing it out to me

A bit of gardening

Hi all 

Just thought I'd share a pic or two of my garden,

We started the begging of last summer remodelling 

This will be the third time,we moved into the house 

From new some 27years ago

Hubby laid a patio built a wall and steps,

And we had some boarders and turf on the mountain slope,

As the family grew we thought of moving,

But in the end we had an extension,

Which took up the patio and we had many skips loads of soil removed,

We then put in a pond and waterfall which was fantastic,

But as I've got older and had health problems I couldn't cope with it,

So our plan this time was low maintance,we've terraced the garden 

Using railway sleeper,put artificial turf down,

Just a few bits and bobs to do,and we will be done,

Hubby works a 60 hour week plus an hour n half a day traveling on top 

So time is very limited,

But he's getting there

AWOL

Hi all 

Well I've been missing again sorry 

I'm struggling with some health problems at the moment,

So only really getting essentials done,to my frustration.

I have managed,to regain my craft room back,

So hopefully I will be getting back to some paper crafting soon.

I have how ever managed to finish another cushion.

I've used all of the tilda charm pack up now, 

So I'm on the hunt for more,

I also managed a visit to my mom 

Last week and she took me to her local quilting shop,

We're I pick up a height chart panel,

The lady in the shop laughed when I told her my kids were 

16 & 22 and I'd no clue who I'd give it to 

But had to have it.

So I leave you with a pic of my latest cushion

Tilda charm pack cushion

hi all 

A it of a late one tonight,

I've been beavering away again,

At my mission to replace all my cushions,

Today I made a baby patch work cushion,

And I'm hoping to start my other larger one tomorrow,

In the charm pack I bought,i could get 

Two large and a small,

And I think I may even be getting a it better

At this patch work lark,

I'm sorry I know most of you are paper crafters,

But as you get to know me,you'll 

Get to know,I'll have a bash at any thing,

Not all go well,

Like my cake pops they turned out like a

Building block instead of little round cake pops,

Any way enough rambling

Patch work quilted cushion

 Hi all 

Been a while,again sorry,

Struggling a bit health wise,

And not much time on my own,

Not complaining companies always welcome.

As you probably know,

I'm mainly a paper crafter,

With the odd bit of baking,

On a trip out at Easter, with a friend,

I came across a fabric charm packet,

Made by tilda and had to have it,

I just fell in love with the patterns,

I'd seen there papers and dolls before,

But had no idea of these pre cut squares for patch work,

My mom does patch work, 

She's made both Alice and josh quilts,

Still waiting for mine,

So I gave her a call,

and asked if she would do me some cushions,

 The phone went a bit quite,

So I thought I'd have a go,

After a bit of you tube research,

Here what I came up with,

Have to say I'm really no sewer at all,

But really quite pleased with the end result,

Another new hobby I think,

Who knows I may even make my own quilt

Prom night

 Hi all

Post two

Of my roller coaster week,

From the low on Monday,

To the high of Friday 

As I said before I guess its what

I've been making this week,

My son well and my daughter beautiful,

As I've said before my daughters left school 

This year and Friday was prom night,

So after bag hunting,

Jewellery shopping and the tricky one

A hair piece,we got to spray tans and nails,

And eventually to the big day,

And she looked amazing,so on to the sharing 

Of photos,I am a kitchen assistant 

At the school so I'm lucky enough to 

Know most of the young ladies and gentlem men 

And they all had a fantastic night,

And did them selfs proud

Morning all

Nothing paper related today sorry

But I guess you could say this is what I've been 

Making this week,

And what a roller coaster ride it's been, 

Monday after the tea party,

I was feeling under the weather,

Then Monday afternoon I got a phone call from 

My son to say he had a bad car 

Smash on the Aston express way 

And was wait for an ambulance, 

Lucky after a fair few hours in 

A&E and one cat scan later,

He was given the ok to come home,

Only suffering bad bruising,

Although we he had a ruff ride home

Having to stop for him to be unwell,

I think it may have been the shock,

He's doing ok,he's still full of aches and pains,

And having a really stressful 

Time with the insurance company,

My son is a petrol head (he hates that term)

Spending all his spread time and money on his car,

Evening all 

No card this evening,

But a box for the teacup,

Made on the big score from crafters companion,

I used craft card, 

And to be honest I winged it,

I knew I wanted a 6x6 box and it 

Took two sheets of card,

I've used my free bi bunny cd form issue 6 for the paper,

And tonic dies on top 

The double, double bow,with the bow maker 

And once again a home made dazzler 

And a few pearls to finish 

The photos don't really do the box justice 

I am really rather pleased with this

mad hatters tea party

Afternoon all 

Sorry I've been away for so long,

Boring stuff often gets in the way of the fun stuff

Still a bit up side down from the 

Freezer breaking and hubby,( the worlds

Second messy worker the first being my son)

Re configuring the kitchen,

To get in the new American fridge freezer,

Which I'm over the moon with,

Any way yesterday was my sisters 50th birthday 

And she had a mad hatters tea party,

It was a brilliant couple of hours 

So now I can share the folded book I made for her,

And a few pic of the tea party
